Headed toward the marlin bite with a crew of six guys from PA. After about 30 miles the guys decide to give up their marlin dreams and try for some false albacore since one of the crew is horribly sick. Apparently there were too many tropical drinks the night before. Stayed in the 35 mile zone and crushed the turkeys as well as finding two small mahi.

Headed to the Poormans today in a fading forecast with Tony and his mom looking to find him a marlin for his birthday. The first two hours were uneventful and only hearing of two fish caught around me I decide to troll north and slightly shallower where a buddy of mine has had a few encounters. Forced to give up our canyon hopes today due to a fairly nasty offshore waters forecast. The guys opt to bend a rod on some false albacore for a few hours instead.
