Spent today with a crew of super nice folks from PA. Set the trolling spread and with-in ten minutes we have our first under bluefin in the box. Out with a couple of my favorite guys for a day of tuna action. After a short ride we start setting the spread. As I’m locking the drag down on the one bridge rod the other one gets slammed. Another day of bluefin action with a crew from PA. Started trolling around all the overnight boats at first light. Ran 35 miles north with crew of five from WV looking for some bluefin. Worked a big hill all morning with several other boats all looking for a bite but not many finding one. Left super early today with Steve Kauffman and his crew from Honeybook, PA for our first 18 hour trip of the season. Arrived at the bluefin grounds and set the spread in the dark. Another day of bluefin action with a family of four. The weather was dreary but the fishing was good and these guys found out just how hard these bluefin can pull. By days in we’ve caught 5 “overs”, 2 “unders” and a nice gaffer mahi.

Out with a crew of young bucks looking for our first bluefin of the year. Morning was dead so I decided to make a 9 mile move to a different hill.
