Oh how this hurts! Headed east today with a crew of four from PA looking for some bluefin. Arrived at the first spot at 5:30 am and counted 42 boats already there. Set the spread and started looking for some marks on my sounder. After two hours of nothing and only seeing one other boat doing battle I decided to make a 7 mile move. Worked that area with about 25 other boats for the next several hours without a pull. Sometime around noon we had a glimmer of hope when I looked over and noticed outboard boat tight to a fish. He was immediately surrounded by hungry boats but after thirty minutes of pounding the area our hope, and many others, faded away. Not being able to take the misery any longer I offered the guys a 10 hour deal which they accepted and we headed for the barn with perfectly clean ice.
