Out with a crew of young bucks looking for our first bluefin of the year. Morning was dead so I decided to make a 9 mile move to a different hill. After about 45 minutes our flat line get crushed and this angry fish dumps over half a spool in a heart beat. 15 minutes later TD sinks the gaff in a 70 lb. “over” bluefin. Worked that area for the next hour but only had two big explosions and both missed the hook. Made another 5 mile run to yet another bluefin hideout. The next couple hours are very good but all four fish are too big 49″+ and we need fish under 47″.
