Most of our twelve hour trips found good light tackle action for mahi with a couple limits hut by some crews. Deep drop tilesfish was good on small to medium fish until the wind hit after just a couple drifts. Managed to snag a couple of those oh so tasty wahoo and get Donnell his first marlin. September looks like its shaping up to be awesome!

A few more mahi, a lot more wind! Our mid range gear produced a fair number of bailer size mahi this week as well as the ever present, at least this time of the year, false albacore. This weeks mid-range trips produced nice kings with some other fun fish mixed in too. Afternoon coastal shark trips found excellent action on 10-20 lb spinner and sharpnose, dusky’s to 150 lb. and a 200+ lb. sand tiger. Pushed offshore three days this week. More kings, some mahi and sharks. Spent this week trying my best to avoid all the WMO madness while still putting our customers on the meat. Kings were fairly cooperative most days even a few limits. Slipped offshore for one day but only managed a couple nice gaffer mahi. Evening shark trips have been mixed, one day nonstop action the next, nary a pull.

King Mack attack and more mahi. Fished around some wind early in the week and managed to piece together some good catches despite the rough conditions. Things slowed down mid/late week but still managed several kings and a mahi or two on most trips. Things improved on Saturday & Sunday with a nice action on the kings and several mahi to 18#.

Slow tuna fishing in the canyons has our parties making the wise choice and opting to fill their coolers with other tasty options. This week yielded great catches of triggerfish and king mackerel with a few nice mahi mixed in as well. Action slacked off late in the week but came back strong on Saturday and Sunday.

Out with the same lucky crew as last year for the Ocean City Tuna Tournament. Friday starts out slow but we finally get the right bite late in the morning and after a struggle we have Kylleigh’s 88# bluefin in the box.
