The first yellowfin trip of our season found us running sixty miles southeast. The first two hours was uneventful but after trolling south for a couple miles we finally get hit by a pair of yellowfin, both go in the box. The next two hours produce six more bites, four of which make it in the box. Back in the slip with six yellowfin and some very happy anglers.

While most of my buddies were heading towards the tuna grounds my guys for today we're looking to fill their freezer with sea bass and didn't mind throwing down some extra fuel cash for a longer run. The bite was outstanding and the size....a pleasant surprise. In a little more than three hours we had our 90 fish limit.

Out for a day of tilefish action with a crew from central MD. The bite was outstanding and the size was definitely better than we've been seeing on previous trips. Around 10:30 we hit the boat limit so  we were on towards a wreck only a few miles off our path home. Sea bass fishing was slow but we did manage to pick some real nice fish off this piece.

As I'm pulling out of my slip for a day of tuna fishing I get a call on the radio from a fellow Captain telling me and I quote "I hope you have your seatbelt on".  Even though the forecast was beautiful the ocean was like a washing machine no wind to speak of but waves from every direction. After a half an hour it was clear the crew did nothing want to 55 miles offshore especially two of the...

Out for a early Father's day trip with a crew looking for some tasty sea bass. Bite was good but the 10:1 throw-back to keeper ratio made it tough to put a big catch together. Back in the slip with about 30 in the box.

Out with the carbon copy of yesterday's trip except the area that was holding the tuna yesterday seem to be dead. Pushed out into the heart of the canyon and within 10 minutes we had a 25# bluefin in the box. After another hour of no action and only hearing one other fish caught the guys decided to turn our attention twords tilefish. Made a 7 mile run and sent down three tile fish rods. Bite was...

First combo trip of the season finds us just inside the Baltimore Canyon looking for bluefin tuna. Dave sets the spread and 15 minutes later we have a blow-up on a spreader bar that doesn't come tight. Work that area for another 30 minutes with no other bites. Pushed a little bit deeper and found a school of bluefin on the surface. Pulled the baits through them and  immediately five rods go...

Out for a day of sea bass fishing with a little more wind than the professional liars were calling for. Worked hard all day weeding through the shorts and moving around.  Sent the guys home with a respectable catch of 68 keepers.

Headed out for a day of wreck fishing with the crew from Technical Solution Specialists from Pine Grove, PA in relatively calm seas, especially compared to the last two weeks. The bite started off very good with a decent number of keepers making the box even though we only had 3 guys fishing. By mid-morning the  throwback size fish seemed to take over with only the occasional keeper here and...

After a week plus of wind it sure was nice to hit the inlet and see calm seas, finally!  Made the 50 mile run to the tilefish grounds with a super fun crew from Bedford, PA. The bite was a touch on the slow side but still plenty good to fill the box with a boat limit of bluelines and smaller goldens.
