A very typical October, fish a couple days then get lots of wind for a couple days. Crews who were lucky or flexible enough to fish around the wind were rewarded with outstanding mahi fishing. That fishing remained exceptional until a big blow hit around the 18th and trimmed 5 degrees off our surface temps. Mixed in among our offshore trips were a couple black sea bass trips that were crazy good, limits for everyone in just a few hours.
