After several days of wind and rough seas we’re back on the water with a very nice crew looking for tuna. Pulled the throttles back in 80 fathoms and within 30 minutes three rods get hammered. One fish pulls off after about 30 seconds but the other two make it in the box. The next bite takes a couple hours. I mark the fish about 30′ down and throw the boat into a hard turn. Two of our short biats get blown-up on but only one comes tight. After a short fight #3 goes in the box. Our last encounter comes with about an hour left in the day when our of nowhere both flatlines get slammed. The first fish to the boat gets introduced to our gaff but the second is being super stubborn and makes a crazy hard run that is just too much fir the 90 lb leader. Back in the slip with four nice yellowfin in the box.
