Out with Jim Tom and the boyz for a day of mahi fishing maybe some fly rod action too. Spent the morning working some crab gear with light tackle as well as a fly rod Conner brought. Action was good but the size was a little off from previous trips. By 11:00 we’ve got 43 mahi in the box and decide to throw out a marlin spread and cross our fingers. 30 minutes go by and a white pops up behind our short rigger and hangs himself. After a 10 minute battle we have James first marlin next to the boat for pics. With 15 minutes left in the day we get jumped by two whites and a spear fish at the same time. Before I can even turn around to look back chaos has broken out with lines tangled and fish going everywhere. Mate Dave has one tight but can’t get to the other rods in time and we only manage to land one of the three.
