Ran north today looking for a better tilefish bite than yesterday. First two hours were terrible. With only three fish on the box and hardly any bite I start looking around. Finally around 10:30 the sky brightens the current slacks off a little and the fish start to bite. The next few hours produces a fair catch but a few very respectable golden tiles and the largest swallowtail bass (one beautiful fish) I’ve ever seen. Back in the slip a few short of our limit but with one golden pushing 25#, one at 20# and two more in the high teens.
