Ran 35 miles this morning before finding some bait and birds working the area. Spent the first 90 minutes catching some false albacore for bait before positioning the boat for our drift. Our first bite comes about 90 minutes later but the fish drops the bait and doesn’t return. Twenty minutes after that we have a solid hook-up on a big bugger. After an epic 35 minute battle requiring all the anglers a turn on the rod we release a 300+ lb dusky. The next two hours are a shark fishing dream with four more dusky sharks and three mako sharks. We finish the day spending an hour messing with some sea bass. Back in the slip with a 66″ mako on the dock.
