A day of tuna fishing with a crew of super nice guys from North East, MD. Arrived at the hill to find a 50/50 mix of trollers and chunkers. Dave throws out a trolling spread and we weave our way through all the boats not really seeing much of anything happening. Finally in late morning we get our first bite and a small yellowfin goes in the box. Our next bite seems to take forever and as the rigger clips releases I see a 15# mahi come flying out of the water before landing on its side making a huge splash. That crazy jump was enough to throw the hook….kinda the way our day is going. Sometime around noon we decide to join the crowd and throw some chunks. After two hours and no pulls we head to the barn. Today the fish won!
