Out for a day of offshore action with a crew of friends from my hometown area looking for something big. Spent the day working an area between 100 and 300 fathoms. While we didn’t see any tuna we had several marlin encounters and by days end we had gone 2 for 4 on white marlin. Really should have been 4 for 4 but a leader failure and a thrown hook in the middle of a spectacular aerial display cut our average in half.
