Out for another day of sea bass fishing with fingers crossed for a better bite than we had yesterday. Well the fish were a little more cooperative today and the size seemed slightly better than yesterday too. The guys stayed busy and by 11 am we hit that beautiful number of 90 keepers.

Made a longer run this morning looking for some action like we had two days ago. Arrived at the bottom only to see a blank screen on my sonar looking back at me. Out for the second day of black sea bass season with Tan and his crew. Bite was tougher than yesterday but still very good. Limit took longer than yesterday but we were still done by 10:15. Back in the slip with a 90 fish limit in the box.

Back on the water again for the opening day of Black Sea Bass season with Bruce and the guys. Bite was as good as I've ever seen! Unbelievably in 65 minutes, that's right 65 minutes,  we have our 90 fish limit in the box.  Sent the guys back to Philly with delicious fish and a story most will not believe.

Two of these days we were able to sneak out to the canyons and work the gear for some nice catches of mahi on light tackle. Ended one of the days back nearshore adding 40 black sea bass in with the mahi. The trip on the 10th found us hanging within 20 miles of the inlet on a 5 hour trip doing battle with the always fun false albacore.

Still fighting the offshore winds and somewhat spotty mahi fishing has seen us spending most of our time within 30 miles of  the beach absolutely hammering those super tasty and always fun Black Sea Bass. Limits have been seen every time, some in record time! Don't turn up your nose at this option. These fish are always fun and there's nothing more tasty out there.

Made a big run south to some gear in the Washington with Tigger and the guys looking for some mahi on light tackle. The bite was good and by late morning we have a nice jag of fish in the box.
