Ran to the 100 fathom line before Dave throws out the spread. First two hours produce nothing. Finally we get a mahi bite but the fish manages to throw the hook just feet from the boat. Next bite is a double header tuna bite and one small yellowfin goes in the box. A while later we get a second chance at a mahi and this one goes in the box too. Last bite is a huge explosion on our bar but the crazy fish somehow misses the hook. Pretty bummed out with only two fish in the box but then I hear some radio chatter and I actually feel fortunate.
