Out with FedEx Tom and his boys for some tuna chunking. Arrived at the hill to to find about two dozen boats looking for tuna too. First bite takes about 20 minutes and darn if that fish doesn’t grab the only rod with 30 lb. leader which gives up as soon as Dave pushes up the drag. next bite takes a long run before the drag goes up and drops the bait before the line comes tight. Next bite is text book and after a 10 minute battle we have a nice yellowfin in the box. Sometime around 8 the current completely stops running and everything is sinking straight down then going toward the bow. Hung tough until 11 am but not seeing any fish caught for 3 hours I offer the guys a shorter day which they quickly grabbed.
