On the hunt for tuna with a crew from PA. Decided to run to the chunking hole that was so good to us two days ago. Less than twenty minutes after setting the anchor we have our first fish on the line, a blt yellowfin. Two minutes later our second fish is tight, a turkey. Sure that we’re gonna crush em, I’m running to the bow with my rod. By now a couple of my buds, very good chunkers, have anchored next to us sure they’d be next to get a bite. Two hours pass and nothing, not on our boat or any of the other boats setting in plain view. Decide to run to some bass pot markers in hopes of finding a mahi or two. Troll past about a dozen markers without a pull when finally a get a decent bite on the last marker and put a average mahi in the box. With terrible fishing and horrible radio reports and still reasonably close to the inlet I offer the guys a shorter day which they quickly jump on. End the day by bending the rods on a couple turkeys.
