Out with the same guys as yesterday. Started off chunking in the fleet of about 25 other boats. After 70 minutes the guys tell me they’d like to go flounder fishing. Not seeing any bent rods in the fleet I’m more than obliging and we head to the flounder grounds. Spent the next four hours hitting several hot spot with nothing. I’m starting to doubt the decision to give up on tuna early until I call a buddy of mine who is still throwing chunks in the fleet. He tells me he’s only seen two boats hooked up all day. Ended the day a little early without a pull. Some days the fish just don’t bite…today was all of them. Got a call from a buddy of mine who I consider to be one of the best tuna fisherman I know. Buck tells me they trolled/chunked for 13 hours today without a bite.
