Remember Three Dog Night ? One is the Loneliest Number; kinda how I felt crawling through the fog this morning on a forecast that had the entire fleet sitting at dock. Well, all but one. My guys really wanted tuna but winds up to 35 knots in the canyons changed their minds quickly and a day of Black Sea Bass action was just fine with them. Conditions were surprisingly comfortable despite the fog which broke somewhere around 15 mile mark. Bite was just like the last few trips. Lots of searching, fish that bite for a couple drifts then stop and lots of beautiful males with a keeper ratio of around 4:1. By days end conditions were down to just a swell and we ran home at 23 knots with 60 fish in the box.
