A few miles off Ocean City, MD lies some of the best fishing on the east coast. The pristine blue waters of the “canyons” are a mecca for tuna, marlin, mahi-mahi, wahoo, mako, sailfish, tilefish and more. Along with the fantastic fishing action are scenes straight out of National Geographic. Schools of playful dolphin only feet away from the boat. Big sea turtles relaxing on the surface. Huge right and minke whales breaking the surface and blowing air. And just when you think you’ve seen it all, a marlin rockets out of the water as you jump into the fighting chair. A little closer to the beach are the “inshore grounds”, home to countless wrecks and reefs teeming with hungry fish just waiting for your hook. Flounder, sea bass, tautog, triggerfish, spadefish, cobia and so much more. Regardless of your age, skill level or budget, Ocean City’s most popular and busiest charter boat will do everything possible to make your day on the water fun and successful.
Captain Dan Stauffer, affectionately known throughout the local fishing community as “Danny”, grew up fishing the waters off Ocean City MD, Palm Beach & Marathon FL. Captain Dan has been running his own boats off Ocean City, MD since the early 80′s and fished these waters as a youngster years before that. Charter fishing is a full time business for the Fin Chaser. If we don’t produce fish, we go hungry. Being on the water daily provides valuable insight for up-coming trips, you just can’t get this if your boats sitting at dock. We work hard to keep all the information on our website current and we don’t “cherry pick” our reports. We post EVERYTHING! Not just the good days, but the good, the bad, and the ugly. Our pictures are always tagged with a date so you know you’re not looking at something caught years ago.
